V Rising is the kind of game that offers a ton of depth, much more than at first glance. To properly break into the midpoint of the game, you need to unlock better gear than copper or bone items. The process is pretty complicated, as you need to take out a littany of bosses beforehand. There’s one boss, in particular, that allows you to unlock the iron tier. That process is a bit more complicated than you might think. Getting iron weapons in this game is the first real upgrade you’re going to find. Iron Weapons in V Rising are a nice way to get your DPS up. This guide will tell you all you need to know about unlocking them.
Be sure to check out our other guides on scrolls, and other materials like fish oil. Other upgrades like Whetstones are pretty useful as well. Other aspects of the game can help with your journey, like farming in V Rising and growing stuff from seeds. Seeds harvested from bosses can be used to grow unique items for crating intriguing new armor. Some of the best armor in the game is the Dark Silver gear, which is super powerful. And since you’re trying to get more powerful gear, leather can be helpful as well. Other items like Wool Thread, Coarse Thread and Clay are useful for early game crafting. Once you get more advanced, you have to deal with mechanics like Misery and crafting advanced items, such as Scourgestones.
How to unlock Iron Weapons in V Rising
To get this done, you also need to find Iron Ore, which can be a bit of a challenge. Getting to this point is key as you want to grow your power and increase your gear level in V Rising. Once you’ve started gearing up, you need to be ready to take on a powerful new V boss.
The recipes for Iron Ingots and Iron Weapons are unlocked by defeating Quincy the Bandit King. Quincy can be found in the Bandit Stronghold. You will also need Explosives to blow your way in, as he likes to lock himself inside. Players will have to unlock the Minor Explosive Box by defeating Clive the Firestarter first, then go back and craft one unit of that. Bring that with you, blow your way in, and defeat Quincy.
Doing this will unlock a few different recipes and items you can use. One of them is kind of important. You then need to find a way to actually make the new weapons. You need a Smithy.
After unlocking the Smithy, all players have to do is place it within their castle. This requires 200 Blood Essence, 32 Iron Ingots, and 16 Sulphur. Gather those items, and then slap them together. You will then be able to make your new iron gear, finally.
