How to unlock Custom Deliveries in Final Fantasy XIV

Custom Deliveries in Final Fantasy XIV are a great way to get some useful crafting items and other rewards. Custom Deliveries awards players with gil, yellow and white Crafters’ Scrip, or yellow and white Gatherers’ Scrip. These Scrips can be used for a variety of crafting and quest recipes. This source of gil can be really helpful for any crafters, not just those in the endgame. You will be able to use these to get plenty of Scrips and do your weekly turn-ins for them, which makes them very useful for that grind.

The Custom Deliveries can be completed by any player providing they complete a few things first. Here’s what you need to do to unlock them.

Starting to unlock Custom Deliveries

Before you can start meeting your clients, you’ll need to clear a few requirements first. You have to reach level 60 on any crafting or gathering job, then there are some quests you need to finish. The level 50 quests “Inscrutable Tastes” and “The Better Half”. The former is found from Morgayne at Foundation, X: 10.1 Y: 10.4. The latter can be found via the House Fortemps Manservant in Foundation, X: 10.2 Y: 11.5.

Now you need to finish the level 60 quest “Go West, Craftsman” from Lydirlona in Mor Dhona (X:22, Y:6). Once you’ve done that, speak with Geimlona in Idyllshire (X:5.8, Y:7.0) for the next quest, “Arms Wide Open.” You will finally unlock your first delivery NPC. Complete that first quest to get that NPC as a delivery client for the long term.

Delivering items to clients

As you explore various cities, you will notice a variety of NPCs looking for plenty of items to bring in. Each NPC will ask for items of varying rarities from one of three item categories: crafted items, gathered items, and fish.

Each time you trigger a mission, check the Timers menu to see how much you have left to go until it expires. As you complete these missions and turn in the items, you will complete them. Each time you deliver an item to the NPC that they’re requesting. Clients hand out various crafters’ scrips for crafter collectibles, and gatherers’ scrips for gatherer collectibles.

You can complete a total of 12 deliveries (six deliveries per person) can be made in a given week. The delivery roster for the week will reset every Tuesday at 12:00 a.m. (PST). Each set of custom deliveries can then be assigned to certain clients.

If you want to check out what delivers are up for grabs, you can see them in the Crafting Log under the Custom Deliveries category. So be sure to check out the listings each week. More and more NPCs can be found in each of the main hubs, starting at Level 60. That means head to Idyllshire, Rhalgr’s Reach, Eulmore to check things out.
