How to summon the Queen Slime in Terraria
The Queen Slime in Terraria is a new addition as part of the final major update to the game, Journey’s End. The Queen Slime is a Hardcore only boss that was brought into the game in recent patches. This boss spawns in the Hallow biomes, and it’s freaking huge. The giant pink boss is even wearing a crown because it’s so awesome.
The questions remains though, how do you summon the Queen Slime in Terraria. A Gelatine Crystal is necessary for all of the work you need to do to summon this boss. You’re going to need to do some hunting though. Gelatine Crystals can be found in the Underground Hallow. You must break the vein they are included in and harvest them like any other resource node.
Once you have the Gelatine Crystal you must take it to the Hallow biome. Keep in mind that outside the Hallow biome there is no use for the Gelatine Crystal. Just remember to activate the Gelatine Crystal in an area that’s more open as you will need to move around the boss. This is mostly because the Queen Slime is actually really mobile.
The Queen Slime starts by charging around the area charging to roll over you. You also get to dodge a ton of projectiles that the boss fires. You will want to use the terrain for this part to be easier. When reduced to half health, the Queen Slime will start to aim the crystals directly at you.
It goes without saying that you should be very careful with this boss, as it’s very tough and meant for a real challenge. You can take the time to take your game off of the Hardcore setting to get prepared if you feel unready for the boss fight.
The Queen Slime will also grow wings, and attempt to crush you by flying over you and then falling straight down. The Queen Slime can drop the following items on death:
- Sparkle Slime Balloon (guaranteed)
- Queen Slime Mask
- Crystal Assassin’s Hood
- Crystal Assassin’s Shirt
- Crystal Assassin’s Pants
- Gelatinous Pillion
- Treasure Bag
- Regal Delicacy
- Queen Slime Trophy
- Queen Slime Relic
