How to start Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra

How To Get Dynite Ore In Pokemon Sword & Shield The Crown Tundra

Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Tundra is live as the latest DLC in the season pass for the Switch game. There’s an entirely new region to explore and hundreds of new Pokémon to catch, and battle. You can even take part in a new form of Max Raids called Dynamax Adventures. These reward you with a new resource called Dynite Ore.

But the question remains, how do you start the new DLC? Obviously, you need to already have purchased and downloaded the DLC to your game. Make sure to buy the version of the DLC or season pass for your game. You can’t use the Sword version of the DLC for the Shield copy of the game. You won’t be able to transfer between the two either.

Once you have the patch installed, it’s time to begin. Head back to the Wedgehurst Train Station again. Speak with the conductor just inside the building and a list of destinations will come up. Select “Crown Tundra” as a destination, and you will begin the DLC after a short cutscene.

Pokémon Sword and Shield The Crown Tundra is the second of two downloadable content expansion packs in the Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass for the 2019 role-playing video games Pokémon Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch. It released today in various regions and a patch should be live now for both versions of the game.

Pokémon Sword and Shield added a bunch of new features for this new DLC. Perhaps the most impactful is the inclusion of the classic Gen-1 three Legendary Pokémon along with the new Max Raid Battles. Players can take on much tougher fights to truly test the limits of their abilities as a Trainer.
