The respawn point in Grounded is set very simply, by just building a camp out in the world. This is done via the lean-to. The lean-to is one of the first structures you will be able to build in Grounded. This will enable you to set your respawn point, which is crucial to playing the game. The nights in the game are very dangerous, even for skilled players, so it is often better to sleep through them.
This won’t provide any safety from mobs or attacks, but it can be used to rest when you need to take a break. It’s very useful for skipping the nighttime, which is much more lethal for players who aren’t prepared to take on the more dangerous predators. Keeping the resources you need to make lean-to is very important, here’s how.
To build the structure, you just need two resources. To build the Lean-To, you will need the following resources:
- Clover Leaf x3
- Sprig x2
The lean-to can be found in the crafting menu, under Utilities. You will need to have an open space to place it down, so keep that in mind. Simply place the outline, then interact with that to build the shelter.
To get the sprigs, you can collect them off the ground as you explore. The clover leaf is found in specific areas, check out our guide to finding clover leaf for the details.
How to set your spawn point
To set a Lean-To as your spawn point, walk up to it and hit the button prompt. This will trigger the wait animation and allow you to set your respawn point in Grounded. If you don’t do this, you will respawn back at the very beginning of the map area, so you need to do this when you explore a new area. It’s important to note that you can have multiple of these structures placed in different areas. The most recent one will act as your spawn point as long as you set it.
