How to Salvage in V Rising

V Rising Guides

V Rising is a huge game, and it has found a ton of success as an Early Access title. Not only is there a massive map filled with enemies to fight, but the game also includes a mountain of fun crafting to mess with. As you explore, you take on bosses and farm for resources—using them to make more stuff for your war machine. Can you survive the war against the living?

You need to recruit Servants to take care of missions for you. Players also need to hunt down rare and common resources for crafting, such as Gem stones and dust, or maybe Sulfur. That all is just the early game though, there’s so much more. V Rising puts far more emphasis on survival than a more action-oriented vamp game. Surviving against the many enemies is going to be tough. Blood is the core of your survival. You will need blood to continue fighting and growing your power.

With all of the crafting recipes in the game, there are a lot of materials you need to find. This game has so many crafting options that it’s impossible to fit them all into one guide. This game has tons of gear to make, but sometimes you need to break stuff down. That’s where the ability to salvage in V Rising comes in. It might be a while until you can salvage items in V Rising, depending on how far you are into the game. Keep reading to learn more.

How to Salvage in V Rising

The ability to salvage ties to many other recipes. You can use this process to get resources back from gear you no longer need, so it’s pretty important. You need the Devourer to salvage items in V Rising, with it being locked behind slaying a V Carrier boss. You need to do this for many other unlocks, so it’s not too hard. Once you’ve slain Lidia the Chaos Archer and unlocked the Devourer blueprint, you’ll need 12 Planks and six Copper Ingots to build it.

Once you have it unlocked, you’re ready to break things down. Once you’ve build the Devourer, you can place it inside your keep. Then, you just need to open it up and then place items inside. After a short time, the items will be broken down.

Other aspects of the game can help with your journey, like farming in V Rising and growing stuff from seeds. Seeds harvested from bosses can be used to grow unique items for crating intriguing new armor. Some of the best armor in the game is the Dark Silver gear, which is super powerful.
