Don’t Starve Together transforms the popular survival game into a cooperative adventure, pitting groups of players against various vicious threats. Unlike the main game, Don’t Starve Together doesn’t feature any plot, simply putting the characters in the alternate dimension and forcing them to work together to survive. Don’t Starve has a much more hefty narrative focus, adding to the spookiness factor.
How to revive yourself in Don’t Starve
Revival works three different ways in the base Don’t Starve game, and the multiplayer version Don’t Starve Together. In the base game, death is final. When you get taken out, you will not be coming back unless you have a very specific item, the presthatitator. Upon death in Adventure Mode, all items from before the transition from Sandbox to Adventure Mode will remain on your person. So that’s handy, but with the base game locking off the resurrection for all but one method.
You need to build the presthatitator using the following items:
- 4x Rabbits
- 4x Boards
- 1x Top Hat
How to revive yourself in Don’t Starve Together
In Don’t Starve Together, resurrection mechanics have changed compared to the base game. In Don’t Starve Together, you turn into a ghost upon dying. Players in this mode can use the Florid Postern in Endless Mode as well. You can still revive in Don’t Starve Together, but it takes some extra work. There are currently four Items that can allow you to revive in Don’t Starve Together with other methods.
Resurrection incurs a maximum-health penalty, unless a Life Giving Amulet, a Meat Effigy, a Second Chance Watch, or a Touch Stone was used for the resurrection. You must keep some of these items handy if you’re going to keep playing long-term.
The Life Giving Amulet is an item that you can craft in Don’t Starve Together. You need the following items to make it:
- 1x Red Gem
- 2x Nightmare Fuel
- 3x Gold Nuggets
You can also make a Meat Effigy with the following items:
- 4x Beard Hairs
- 4x Boards
