If you’ve been playing The Sims 4 long enough, you will inevitably encounter an issue where a Sim refuses to move or respond to commands. This is a common issue and things need to be fixed. There are a few commands you can make use of to do this. The game is pretty simple, but you will need to be aware of some things.
Here are some things to keep in mind when you reset stuck Sims in the Sims 4:
- These methods work for all sims, not just ones you are controlling directly.
- The Sim will not return to its home lot, but will become playable.
- Resetting a stuck sim will remove any of their active wishes and moodlets
There are two methods for handling this problem, both involving the in-game console. For both methods, you need to start by opening the cheat console.
You can open the cheat window by pressing CTRL + Shift + C. From there, you can use either of the two methods listed below.
ResetSim method:
Type resetSim Firstname Lastname and click Enter. Make sure you enter the name of the Sim you want to reset. For example: If you want to reset Gobias Koffi, type: resetSim Gobias Koffi, and press Enter.
Testingcheats true method:
- Type testingcheats true and click Enter.
- Press the Shift button and then click on the Sim you want to reset.
- Select the Reset Object (Debug) option.
