How to reforge gear in Diablo Immortal

Can you play Diablo Immortal on PC?

Diablo Immortal is out, and people are excited to start killing demons again. The mobile-first game has a lot of new and remixed mechanics, so there’s a lot to learn. There are a lot of mysterious RPG mechanics in Diablo Immortal. This game also has a maze of different premium currencies to navigate. With all of that in the mix, there are some gamers calling the amount of microtransactions excessive, but it’s a mobile game and this kind of thing is par for the course, unfortunately. And since there aren’t any followers in the game, you need all the power you can squeeze out of your gear.

Rerolling gear in games is a pretty common thing, so of course Blizzard turned it into a paid system. The paid Eternal Orbs are integral to many systems in the game, and you can’t really play the full game without them. There are ways to earn some possibly on the way, but even the paid battle pass isn’t handing any out right now. Maybe Blizz will listen to feedback and add that in later. There is one other way to get your hands on re-rolling, we’ll cover that below.

There are a few other things to learn about this hit new RPG, so listen up. The Paragon leveling system is a bit different this time around, but mostly familiar. There’s also a more restrictive leveling system at play here, so keep that in mind. And if you find yourself not being challenged, trying a new difficulty in Diablo immortal might help. There’s also a battle pass to take on, if you want more consistent tasks to complete over your time with the game.

How to reforge gear in Diablo Immortal

Getting to the point where you can reforge gear in Diablo Immortal will take some work. You can use this system to better tune your gear to your builds. The idea is that you can use a premium item to reroll the bonus stats on high-end gear, better focusing it on your needed stats for a build. Before you can reforge gear in Diablo Immortal, you will need to get a couple of things done.

Reforging gear can only be done on sufficiently leveled items. You need to get a piece of gear to tier 6 before it can be reforged. You will also need to have reached the base level cap of 60 before you can unlock the feature itself. When you get there, you will gain access to something called a Reforge Stone, and that’s vital. These affect the bonus attributes you can reroll, when combined with the tier of the gear. And a note about item levels, you can actually unlock multiple levels of bonus attributes when leveling up gear. Tier 6 unlocks the first one. Levels 11 and 16 unlock additional bonus slots.

How to get more Reforge Stones to reforge gear in Diablo Immortal

Reforge Stones have different attributes attached depending on the type used. Each stone will alter the bonuses on a weapon. It is important to note that reforging will only affect the bonus attributes of your weapon. It will not completely reroll the weapon giving it better overall stats.

Once you have the weapon you want to reroll, you simply need to get the stones and use them. Getting these items is easy, provided you have the currency. There are six kinds of Reforge Stones, and they each have differing effects.

  • Barrier Stone
  • Jolt Stone
  • Ravager Stone
  • Tremor Stone
  • Vengeance Stone
  • Wildfire Stone

If you’re paying money, you can get these Stone for Eternal Orbs. All six cost 100 Eternal Orbs per stone and can be retrieved either in the in-game store at the Smithing Materials Vendor in Westmarch. You can buy 8 per week, and that puts a hard cap on how many times you can reroll your gear. Some may call this pay-to-win, and yeah, I kind of agree. If you have the Eternal Orbs available, you are getting the quickest value by purchasing those stones in the shop, but there’s the matter of getting the Orbs in the first place.

You can also get Hilts to buy Reforge Stones. You can purchase up to eight of them in a week for 200 Hilts each. You earn Hilts by progressing using a few different methods.
