How to play in The Eliminator in Forza Horizon 5

How to find new car designs in Forza Horizon 5

There’s a ton of stuff to do in this new hit racing game. Prove your worth out on the road against millions of elite racers. You can even get into the Hall of Fame, and prove your driving worth. Getting into the Hall of Fame is not the only thing to do in the game. There will also be many different side and seasonal events you can finish as well. The latest one involves the DeLorean DMC-12. There are plenty of optional things to unlock, and it’s going to take a while. Forza Horizon 5 features some very interesting car designs you can use. You can also buy and sell cars to expand your garage. Players wanting to game online have that option as well, exploring the world with friends. And along with all of that, comes cars, tons of them.

There’s also some stuff returning to the game in this iteration. One such example is The Eliminator, a battle royale-like mode added in the last Horizons game. This year works a bit differently to how the mode used to work. The mode has the same basic premise, but there are a few key differences.

How to enter The Eliminator

The fastest way to get into The Eliminator in Forza Horizon 5 is to use the menu. Open the pause menu and select Online. Next, select the Horizon Open tab, and then click The Eliminator. This will put you into the matchmaking queue for the game mode. You could also manually enter the lobby by driving to the right location on the in-game map.

The Eliminator has a very distinct logo, and it can be seen on the map. Scroll around and find it, driving to the location to enter the lobby for a match. You can currently find the mode spawning nearby to Valle de Las Ranas. Look to the north. Now that you’re in a game, here’s how it all works.

How The Eliminator in Forza Horizon 5 works

You will find cars scattered around the map, you need to drive over and confirm them to swap into them. The starter car is pretty slow and prone to being easily taken out, so you want to upgrade it ASAP.

As you drive around, pay attention to the location of that giant yellow boundary. That ever-closer wall is the edge of the map. Getting pushed or left outside of it is going to get you taken out of the game. You will also have to race players to various destinations in challenge races. When you find another player, challenge them to a race to a destination. The player that loses the race gets eliminated.

The key thing to remember with these challenge races is that the game doesn’t require you to use the road. Taking the most direct path and sometimes going off-road is definitely acceptable.

The last car standing is the winner.
