With the new Hearth and Home update making it much more challenging, Valheim has gotten pretty crazy. There are a ton of new items to find and build. You can find crystals to make a new crystal battleaxe. There’s also a bunch of other stuff too. If you need more defensive options, a bone tower shield is a good choice. There’s a lot to find out there in the Viking adventure with this new update.
Along with all of that comes some new cooking recipes too. To unlock that stuff, you need to get bigger and better tools. The Spice Rack in Valheim is one of the items you need to get your hands on for the Cauldron upgrade. Since you need to augment your Cauldron with the Spice Rack, you need to place the two right by each other. But first, you actually need to construct the rack itself.
Here are the items you need to gather to build the Spice Rack in Valheim:
- 3 Dandelion
- 2 Carrot
- 5 Mushroom
- 3 Thistle
- 3 Turnip
When you’ve built the item, you need to place it before you can use it. You need to hang the spice rack on a wall or ceiling cell to use it. So when building your house, make sure to put in a beam to hang this useful cooking tool from. If the area you’re putting it in says “Invalid Placement,” make sure to have enough horizontal room for the rack, as it’s kind of big and bulky.
