How To Make a Potion Of Invisibility in Minecraft

How to find Maps and buried treasure in Minecraft

There are a lot of dangers out in the worlds of Minecraft. Players have to face down the undead, giant spiders and perilous environs just to build a house. It’s not easy out here. Potions are a great way to increase a player’s chances of survival in the game. There are some that are actually incredibly useful. One such very useful invention is the Potion of Invisibility. Players that consume this will be made invisible for a short time, and mobs won’t be able to find them. To make the Potion of Invisibility, players can combine a few choice ingredients in a Brewing Stand. Keep reading to get help figuring this all out.

Making the ingredients

You can craft a Fermented Spider Eye by taking Sugar and placing it in the center of the Crafting Table. Then, just place the spider eye underneath it to get a fermented variant.

You will also need a Golden Carrot. Take a Carrot and surround it with 8 Gold Nuggets.

Setting up a fully automated Nether Wart farm is huge for all of your potions. The Nether Wart is the red flower that you sometimes find in Nether Fortresses. Anyone who doesn’t know what those are, it’s the giant structures made of Netherbrick that spawn in the hellish zone. You will find them randomly spawned all over. The Nether Wart often spawns in the soul sand patches at the bottom of stairwells in these locations.  Another common drop from the Nether is Blaze Powder/Rods. These are random drops from killing Blazes.

You will also need Water Bottles, these are the receptacles for your Potions, so you need a lot of them. Simply cook glass from sand in a Furnace and you’re ready to make them. Just put three pieces of glass into a Crafting Table. The bottom middle slot and the middle left and right slots should be filled. Think of the shape like a V. Each recipe makes three glass bottles in Minecraft. Once made, they can hold water, potions, honey, or dragon’s breath.

How to make a brewing stand

The Brewing Stand is key to making potions. You will need to put the receptacle and the ingredients in the slots on the stand to make your potion. To make one, you need one Blaze Rod, and three of either Cobblestone or Blackstone. Once you have the stand made, you’re ready to brew any potions you have need of. Once you have the actual stand constructed and placed, you’re ready to begin.

Start by adding the Water Bottle(s) to the three bottom slots. Then place the Nether Wart into the top ingredient slot, next to the bubbles. This will create an Awkward Potion. You will have to combine a Golden Carrot found on your adventures next. When the Golden Carrot is consumed by the Brewing Stand, you should have Potions of Nightvision.

Now you need to actually make the potion. Place the Potion of Nightvision in any of the bottom three boxes in the Brewing Stand and the Fermented Spider Eye in the top box. After a brief delay, this will produce a Potion of Invisibility.

Once you make it, the basic version can then be further improved. Placing the finished potion back into the brewing stand and then adding Redstone to the top slot will improve the duration of the potion. The normal Potion of Invisibility has a duration of five minutes, while the extended carry a duration of 10 minutes. You may alter the potion further, making splash potions as well.

There are many other potions you can brew in Minecraft as well, all with really awesome effects. Fire resistance potions are pretty good, so go make some of those too.
