With all the new stuff being added in Animal Crossing New Horizons’ 2.0.0 patch, there’s a lot to learn. The new NPCs and a ton of new shopping options at the co-op is just the beginning. You have a way to get rid of some of those unsightly stairs on your island. With the addition of the ladder set-up kit, you can use this to avoid putting stairs all over the place. You also don’t need to carry a ladder around as much.
To use a ladder that you’ve built, just move next to any cliff, then select the kit from your inventory. Choose the Set Next to Cliff option to place the kit there. And you can interact with it again to remove it. It’s easy to move these around to fit the flow of traffic on your island.
How to make a ladder set-up kit in Animal Crossing New Horizons
You’ll need to first buy a Ladder Set-Up Kit Recipe from Nook’s Cranny for 2,000 Bells. Once you have the recipe, you can build as many as you want. Just build 1 ladder, then take that ladder and five wood to a crafting bench to make the kit. A ladder itself costs four wood, four hardwood, and four softwood.
You can also use Customization Kits, or Reese and Cyrus, to customize the color. The options are pretty varied and you can get a ladder set-up kit that fits your color scheme.
And don’t forget about the other stuff you can build as well. Along with the new Pro Construction permit, there’s a lot more stuff to build as well.
