How to make a Heart Of The Oak in Diablo 2: Resurrected

Diablo 2 Resurrected

There are many powerful items and skills in D2R. Some of them have very specific uses. And once you’ve finished your build, you might want to try farming for that ultimate item. There’s a concept called Magic Find that’s incredibly useful for this. And using this, you can get mountains of rare gear. Some items are more useful than others though. The Heart Of The Oak is one of those that’s very class-specific. Since it requires a 4-socket Mace, only a few classes can really use it well. Most Sorceress builds might be interested in it, for example.

Here are the basic stats of Heart of the Oak in Diablo 2: Resurrected:

How to make Heart Of The Oak in Diablo 2: Resurrected

The Heart Of The Oak runeword in Diablo 2: Resurrected is ‘KoVexPulThul’. This means you need to add those rune words in that order. So start with a Ko word, then an Vex, followed by Pul, and finish with Thul. The recipe to make  Heart Of The Oak in Diablo 2: Resurrected is simple to know, but getting the Runes is another matter. It’s a good idea to bookmark our list of runes and runewords so that you can refer back to it later. The runeword is the hard part.

Vex can be farmed in Act 1 on Hell, making it easy to reach, but hard to actually obtain. Thul is probably the easiest to get, at it begins to drop in Act IV on Normal difficulty.  You can also farm Countess and Hell Forge on various difficulties for these runes, except Vex. You can’t get it at all from The Countess or the Hellforge, so you’ll just have to hope for a lucky drop on Hell difficulty maps.

Rune How To Get
Vex
Countess: N/A
Hell Forge: N/A
Drop Chance: Act 1 (Hell)
Horadric Cube Recipe: 2 Gul + 1 Ruby (Ladder Only)
Ko
Countess: Hell
Hell Forge: Nightmare and Hell
Drop Chance: Act 2 (Nightmare)
Horadric Cube Recipe: 3 Lum + 1 Flawed Amethyst (Ladder Only)
Pul
Countess: Hell
Hell Forge: Nightmare and Hell
Drop Chance: Act 4 (Nightmare)
Horadric Cube Recipe: 3 Lem + 1 Flawed Emerald (Ladder Only)
Thul
Countess: Nightmare and above
Hell Forge: Normal
Drop Chance: Act 4
Horadric Cube Recipe: 3 Ort

As you’ll note from the list above, you must be in ladder play to get three of these from crafting recipes. That makes this a lot harder for casual players. You could farm the Countess and Hell Forge on higher difficulties for three of the four Runes. That makes it much easier.
