Twitch drops have become a big area of interest for many gamers. The streaming site owned by Amazon has become a hub for many game’s promotional efforts. As a result, the idea of giving items to interested players was born. Sometimes you can earn drops by watching announcement or promo streams, other times you can earn them in-game. Madden 22 is just the latest of major AAA releases to use this feature. And given the increasingly connected nature of games, it makes sense.
The developers will often run streams to spotlight features in the game, as well as to promote popular streamers in the Madden 22 community. The game gets a fair amount of viewers, but EA always wants more. The Twitch drops can be earned by linking your EA Madden account to your Twitch account. It’s a very simple process, here’s what to do.
How to link a Madden 22 account to Twitch for drops
Obviously, you need both an Electronic Arts Madden account and a Twitch account in good standing to do this.If you don’t have the EA account, head to the website and make a new account. After you have your accounts made or validated, link the EA account to your PSN ID or Xbox Gamertag to associate the game with your profile. From there, you’re ready to link up to Twitch. The Twitch servers authenticate the link and then enable Prime Gaming drops and other rewards.
From there, go to ea.com/twitchlinking. Sign in to Twitch if you haven’t done so already, then you need to sign into your Electronic Arts account as well. Once you have signed in to both accounts, you’re ready to complete the link. Go to the Twitch linking page and sign in. The site will ask you which accounts you would like to link, and you should fill out the information requested. Once done, you will see that both the Madden 22 and your gamertag/PSN profile are linked.
If you want to unlink these accounts head into the Connections tab on your Twitch account and disassociate from the EA side.
