Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord puts you in command of your own Clan in a fictional medieval world. Players will be tasked with commanding massive armies with tons of different companions and bringing them to war. Players will also need to take on various quests for the factions in the game world, looking to build new alliances and partnerships. As you improve these relations, but also by improving your gear and weaponry, your fighting force will be made more effective as well.
The biggest impact on your party size in Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord is how skilled your character is as a leader. The Clan Tier you have unlocked also has a more minor impact. The Stewardship skills have a direct effect on both the size of your army and their supply usage. This skill will be built up slowly within the early parts of the game but will start to snowball once you’ve taken your first settlements. The investment really starts to pay off once you’re focusing on building your influence.
You’re going to want to focus on both raising your Clan Tier within the game, mostly through story progress, and improving your own character. Certain skills can help raise your own party size in Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord. Getting the skills and perks related to stewardship and army command are particularly useful for this.
Throughout the game you will want to focus on the Clan page every once in a while, so here’s how to check the Tier and related info out. You should click on the small crown icon on the lower left-hand portion of your screen to bring up the menu. The L key is another shortcut for this, by the way. The Clan Tier you have unlocked is on this menu too, look at the top right.
As you bring in more victories in battle, complete quests and create more Renown in the world, your level will go up. There’s a ton of different rewards for this process, with the morale of troops, access to different gear, and other elements all being upgraded. To make the process easier you will want to make sure your troops have a higher morale level when going into battles. Feeding troops better and more varied food will help a lot with this.
