How to Increase Item Drop Rate in Elden Ring

How to Increase Item Drop Rate in Elden Ring

As you level up and get stronger in Elden Ring, there’s going to be enemies that you have trouble with. Players will want to put time into finding better gear, but that won’t always be easy. You need to have some amount of luck on your side. And just like previous games in the genre. players can stack luck in their favor. You can actually get tons of items, both crafting materials and usable gear, from loot drops. Killing enemies to farm loot isn’t advisable by default, you will want to take Discovery into account. The stat that most affects item drop rate in Elden Ring is called Discovery.

By equipping certain items, a player can boost their base Discovery stat. This will improve the odds of a loot drop from a slain enemy, not the rarity of drop, that’s a crucial difference. Each enemy type has a set loot table they draw their drops from, so you have to abide by that when farming them. If you want to farm for certain items, it’s best to know which enemies have the highest drop chance for the item you want. Then, you can further improve your chance of getting that item by using certain items to boost Discovery, and thus item drop rate in Elden Ring.

How to Increase Item Drop Rate in Elden Ring

To boost your item discovery rate in Elden Ring, there are a few options you have. One of the most common ways to do this is to use a consumable item. The Missionary’s Cookbook allows you to make a very special item called the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot. This gives you a 3-minute +50 boost to Discovery.

You can find it near a tent north of the broken bridge that leads to Raya Lucaria Academy or in the Altus Plateau cemetery. Alternatively, you can also buy it from Twin Maiden Husks at the Roundtable Hold after killing Gostoc.

To craft the Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot, use Missionary’s Cookbook, and the following Crafting Materials: 3x Rowa Fruit, 1x Four-Toed Fowl Foot, and 1x Silver Firefly.

There are plenty of other items you can use to boost Discovery. Keep reading to learn more. Talismans are actually a big part of this process.

The Silver Scarab Talisman

Another option is to get this Talisman. This item is one of the best items you can use to boost the item drop rate in Elden Ring. The talisman gives the player a +75 item discovery boost.

Head toward the Hidden Path to the Haligtree to find this Talisman. Heading from the lift, there will be a Staircase on the left. Climb the first flight of stairs leading to a new platform. From there jump down the broken railing to the left. There will be an invisible platform. Follow the path and break the illusionary Wall. Behind it is a Chest containing the Silver Scarab.

Marika’s Soreseal and Scarseal Talismans

The Soreseal Talisman is great for magic users, as it gives minor boosts to Mind, Intelligence, Faith, and Arcane, with +5 in each stat. Players can also gain a +5 in Discovery too. You can find the Soreseal talisman in the lower levels of the Elphael, in the Brace of the Haligtree dungeon. It’s one of many items you need a Stonesword key to get your hands on.

The scarseal is another variant of the same Talisman, and it’s OK. The Scarseal is the weaker variant, offering +3 in magic stats. You really want to get the other one. And no, you can’t wear them both to get staking bonuses.

Other Item Discovery Boosts

There are plenty of other items you can use as well. These can be found as quest rewards or loot drops, but only offer minor boosts to Discovery. Most players will opt to focus their damage boosts on their gear, reserving Discover boosts for the consumable items or specific Talismans. But if you want to try other options, here are a few items you can use.

The Silver Tear Mask Helm

The Marais Mask

Witch’s Glintstone Crown

The Mask of Confidence

The Albinauric Mask
