How to grow Money Trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Getting money is a need in life and it’s a constant struggle in video games too. And that even extends into the cute and cuddly world of Animal Crossing. So even on your ideal island paradise in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’re going to need a fair bit of dosh to get by. That means you’re going to need a ton of Bells, the main currency in the game.

Of course, to undertake and complete these tasks and infrastructure projects, you will also need a bunch of other raw resources. The game gives you plenty of tools and all of the time in the world to gather them, but most players don’t want to wait around forever for that Bell-based windfall. And unlike in real life, there are points where money does grow on trees.

When frolicking around your island, especially when looking for Fossils, be on the lookout for glowing spots on the ground. These cracks normally denote Fossil spawns, but the glowing ones have a hidden purpose.  If you dig up the sack of Bells under these points, and the rebury it, there’s going to be a surprise there over the next few days. Come back and you will find a grown Money Tree in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Once they grow over the next few in-game days, there’s lots of cash to be picked. You can then harvest several thousand Bells from a good little copse of Money Trees in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. These grown in bags that can be harvested and then regrow, and each bag should contain the same amount Bells that you buried.

Although just like any of your other resources, they don’t stick around forever. If you lose or reset your save, say goodbye to the easy money.
