How to get Wild Honey in Slime Rancher

Along with other items in the game, like the Plorts from rare Slimes, Wild Honey in Slime Rancher is one of the more valuable things of the game. Wild Honey is a common Slime Science Resource obtained exclusively in The Moss Blanket with an apiary. It is mostly used in crafting and some decorations. So while you’re out gathering Crystal Plorts and other rare drops, keep an eye out. But first, we need to talk about how you unlock the items you need to harvest the Wild Honey. How to get Wild Honey in Slime Rancher

When you first unlock the Lab, you need to rush the Novice Apiary. The lab costs 10,000 Newbucks, while the Novice Apiary costs 500. You can unlock later versions for much more money like the Master Apiary.  The Master variant increases your production and is well worth the investment. You need to first find the high-end blueprint though, which requires Treasure Cracker MK III to open from Purple Treasure Pods.

There is a higher tier as well, the Royal Apiary. This can only be unlocked by reaching Rank 25 of the 7Zee Rewards Club, requiring a cumulative sum of 876,500 Newbucks. It provides 6-12 resources – equivalent to a Master Apiary – and has the highest chance of receiving rare resources as well. You need Honey, Tangle and Pink Plorts to make it.

Once you have your Apiary, head out into the Moss Blanket and find a good open spot to place the tool Open your inventory and drop it in a nice accessible spot. Leave it to work, and come back later, you will then have your Plorts and other drops ready for pickup.

You can also get Wild Honey from Treasure Pods. You need to find Treasure Pods from Moss Blanket and Ancient Ruins Pods, in bundles of 2 per box. So those Purple Treasure Pods serve a dual purpose.
