How to get Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2

Umbral Engrams are going to a huge area of interest for Guardians during Destiny 2 Season of Arrivals. Umbral Engrams can be decoded in the Umbral Decoder, but you can also change them, and their loot tables can be focused in the Prismatic Recaster. You can pick what type of Engram you wish to create, then use various resources earned from bounties available at the Prismatic Recaster to alter them to your tastes.

There are a few different ways to get ahold of Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2. The manner you choose depends on your preferred playstyle. You can always get Umbral Engrams in Destiny 2 from enemies during certain game modes. The best sources appear to be the same missions as Umbral Traces. So that means Strikes, Nightfalls, and Crucible matches are all up for potential drops. The rarity of the Umbral versions seems similar to that of other varieties of Engrams.

The Season Pass is the second source for a few Engrams. Various levels within the system will grant these and other rewards when you level up. So get out and play the game if you want to earn some of these rewards.

The Prismatic Recaster is another method for getting these items. You will want to be continually turning in Twisted Energy bounties. Take on the Weekly Bounties from the Prismatic Recaster and earn 1,000 Twisted Energy per week. Turning this Energy in will earn rewards from the pool based on how much you turn in. Umbral Engrams are some of the rewards, among other things Also, there are certain perk upgrades to the Recaster which improve these rewards, pay attention and target those perks.
