With all of the new Umbral Engrams and weapons in Destiny 2, there’s a general perception that a major shakeup is on the way. Bungie is about to get really into reconfiguring weapons, making them work in new ways, and probably removing a bunch of content from the game. Destiny 2 is getting a major overhaul in Beyond Light, so it might be a good idea to farm weapons you want now before they’re disabled via drops.
And speaking of being removed, one weapon has already been confirmed. One such weapon is one of the best Grenade Launchers in the game, The Mountaintop. There have been rumblings over it being nerfed or removed for some time, and it looks like players are scrambling to find a replacement. Some sources suspect that the closes analog might be the Truth Teller.
The Truth Teller is part of the World Drop loot table, meaning that it should drop at some point from various Engrams. The primary source of the item will be Vanguard variants of those loot rolls. There is another source though. If you have a bunch of Weapon parts left over, there’s an easy source in rolling for the weapon via the Gunsmith. You may burn through a lot of weapon parts though, so come prepared.

Being a single-shot weapon, there is a perception that the Truth Teller in Destiny 2 isn’t that useful, that would be wrong. This thing might as well be a handheld nuke.
