Genshin Impact‘s version 1.3 update has brought a slew of new items and quests into the mix with a bunch of new things to gather. As you explore the world, you will uncover various items, one of which is the Parametric Transformer. This device can transmute materials placed on it into Ascension materials and other rewards.
It’s not an easy item to get though, so we’ll have to walk you through it. Here’s how to get the Parametric Transformer in Genshin Impact.
How to get the Parametric Transformer in Genshin Impact
To get the Parametric Transformer in Genshin Impact, you must complete a world quest from Lan, the Branch Master of the Adventurers’ Guild. Head to Liyue Harbor and check in with them next to the guild to begin.
You’re after the quest called Tianqiu Treasure Trail, which will mark a spot on your map to the northwest. You will be directed to claim a Treasure Map from some enemies first that will mark your destination on your map. You’re going to want to head towards Mt. Tianheng and then to the Dunyu Ruins, as that’s where you will find the items you’re after. Just northwest of the ruins, you will find the treasure spots that have the quest items.
When you have the map in-hand, head towards the location marked and you’re after a few different things. Start by finding the small pond within the ruins and you’ll find a a Ruins Investigation Log and then a Strange Note tacked to some stones nearby.
Your next task is to hunt down three treasure boxes as you are prompted by this message:
“A Giant tree, flourishing and lush. Within, it holds a previous stash. Right in the middle, follow the road. Seek, and the riches shall be bestowed. With so many steps to climb for good measure, descend and you shall find the hidden treasure.“
Find the boxes and then return to Lan. Turning in the items to her will reward you with 30,000 Mora, 3 Hero’s Wit, and the new Parametric Transformer.
What does the Parametric Transformer in Genshin Impact do?
According to its description, the Parametric Transformer can change any item placed into it with Elemental forces. This means you need to hit it with Elemental Attacks to proc the transmutation.
When you equip the Parametric Transformer, you can place it on the ground and add up to 150 Quality worth of items to it. The resulting materials will be rewarded based on the total number of quality rating you put into it.
- 1 Quality: Materials dropped from enemies below level 40
- 2 Quality: Materials dropped from enemies level 40+
- 4 Quality: Materials dropped from enemies level 60+
Hit it with elemental attacks once you’re finished filling it up, and get that progress bar to 100%. When that happens, you can interact with the device to get the newly transmuted items from it. You can only use the Parametric Transformer once every seven days, so keep that in mind.
The drops seem randomized, and there are a mix of rare drops. Hero’s Wit, Mystic Ores, Ascension Materials and other rare drops have all been recorded.
