How to get the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 Guides for Weapons

Gjallarhorn, one of Destiny’s most overpowered Exotics, is coming to Destiny 2 once again. Many veteran players will remember a time when this weapon was the end-game kind. It was an option that became nearly required in end-game raids in the original game. The gun is finally making its way to the sequel.

To get the weapon, players will need to purchase the Destiny 2: Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack. The Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2 will be a reward drop for completing the dungeon included in the pack. The raid itself will likely be pretty farmable, and be open to all players that pay for the pack. It’s unlikely that you’ll have means to get the weapon outside of this dungeon.

How to get the Gjallarhorn in Destiny 2

  1. Complete the Dares of Eternity
  2. Go to Xur’s Treasure Hoard
  3. Speak with Xur
  4. In Xur’s inventory grab the quest, And Out Fly The Wolves
  5. Visit Shaw Han on the Cosmodrome
  6. Complete the Grasp of Avarice dungeon
  7. Complete the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector

Each of the steps listed above can be completed in order. You just need to take down each quest. Make sure to read the quest notes to figure out what to do specifically. Fast travel back to Shaw Han and interact with a container inside of his camp. Then, you can speak with him to finish the quest. This will reward you with the last pieces and the Gjallarhorn.

Gjallarhorn “has been carefully updated to the Destiny 2 sandbox,” according to its official reveal, and the developers have taken great care in balancing the iconic weapon. The idea is to “take its iconic status to the next level.”

The Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack is available via the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Steam and anywhere else you can find Destiny 2. The 30th Anniversary Pack officially launches on Dec. 7. The Bungie 30th Anniversary Pack will cost $25.
