How to get the Fourth Mark in Destiny 2

How to get the Fourth Mark in Destiny 2

The new Coup de Grace hunt is live in Destiny 2 Beyond Light. You will be using the Lure once again to hunt down some new Fallen foes, and trying to put a stop to their plans. The nefarious new bosses are trying to corrupt more realms beyond their own, and it’s up to you to stop them. The new hunt involves going across multiple planes of existence and hunting a few specific bosses. You can earn some pretty cool rewards as well.

The community has now spotted something interesting in that new hunt. It turns out that there’s a new ship option called the Fourth Mark in Destiny 2 that can be earned by beating the boss. But pump the brakes, Guardian, there seems to be a problem going on right now. The hunt was put into the game in a very buggy state, possibly due to being rushed, who knows. It turns out that the quest description was improperly worded, and gave some the impression that you could get the ship every time.

How to Get The Fourth Mark

Unfortunately, The Fourth Mark in Destiny 2 is not a guaranteed drop each run. You will need to complete the final Celebrant boss fight and hope you get lucky. The big problem with that is that you can only battle this boss once per week. If you fail this week, you have to wait until you can get another shot at the drop. The drop is rolled whenever you complete the last boss fight.

This is all very similar to situations that long-time players have had before. The Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy dungeons had similar drops that took a lot of luck to get. And like those, the Coup de Grace drop rate appears to be pretty low. So all in all, you’re just going to have to fight High Celebrant until you get the ship.

Since the boss fight has multiple phases, and involves tailing it across multiple zones, you’re in for some work. Beyond Light wasn’t meant to make things easy was it?

Although by following the guide we linked at the beginning of the post, you should have a better chance of success each run. You will want to bring the heaviest-hitting weapons you have for ranged attacks. Then, you just need to shoot the floating green orbs to gain the buff that will enable you to damage the boss.

Also, you cannot gain access to this hunt until you’ve gotten all the Lure mods. There are seven in all , so make sure that’s done first before you get a chance to get this grind underway. And like any other hunt, you need to play Strikes, Crucible, and Gambit to get charges for your Lure.
