Players who want to decorate their islands in Animal Crossing: New Horizons have plenty of options. The various seasonal events add new items like furniture and clothing to help spice up the already expansive item roster in the Switch title. The new Nature Day events, added to celebrate the real-world event of Earth Day, add even more of these items and that’s not all. The new Nature Day events also introduced a full gardening center into your islands, along with a museum, staffed by two new NPCs. One of the new additions with this new garden center is of course flowers, and Nintendo has added a bunch of unique events for players to undertake to earn Nook Miles and other rewards, one such event is to acquire three Cosmos flower and seeds.
Leif, the new NPC, is the source for these new Cosmos flowers and seeds, so don’t freak out if you don’t have it spawning on your island. Lief will turn up on your island on the first day of the Nature Day event, although it’s running for a while so you don’t have to rush out and find him. Lief should be right outside Resident Services, standing by his new stall. Head over to him to get a look at his new stocks.
Lief will always have new flowers, shrubs, and rare flower seeds that he will sell you. The variety of stock changes every few days, so check back to see what else he has if he doesn’t have the flowers you want in stock.
If the Cosmos flower and seeds aren’t in stock at Lief’s stall, check Nook’s Cranny. They sell a variety of flower seeds as well as Cedar and Hardwood tree saplings. You could also check any cliffs around your island for the Cosmos Flowers growing naturally.
Regardless of where you find them, you then need to get planting. You need three different varieties of the flowers on your island and growing to complete the achievement and earn the Nook Miles. There are of course plenty of other ways to earn Nook Miles, you just have to keep checking your in-game phone to see what new tasks generate each time you do something. Planting the Cosmos flowers is just one of many tasks. You will also earn a tidy bonus to any Nook Miles earned over the course of the Nature Day event, so get cracking.
