There’s a lot of backtracking and in-world puzzle-solving in Resident Evil games, and Resident Evil 3 Remake is no different. With this game, some of the puzzles from the original version have returned in some form, but most of the content has changed pretty dramatically. The layout of the city has changed a bit, and a lot of important areas have been chained off. The player wishing to progress into these areas will need to find the Bolt Cutters in Resident Evil 3 Remake before coming back.
Where to find the Bolt Cutters in Resident Evil 3 Remake
Start from the main street. On your right, you will see a chain-link fence that blocks off an area covered in flames. To get through, you first need to put out the fire.
Head around to the Kite Bros. Railway offices, this is your first stop. To get here, you need to head through the Moon’s Donut shop. There are a few zombies in here, be careful. Dispatch the zambambos and head through the back door. Once you find the railway office head inside. Head down the hallway and to your right, and you’ll find a fire hose at the end of the hallway. The shotgun is in here as well, but you will want to come back later for that.
Head back to the burning alley, and connect the fire hose to the hydrant there. Walk through the ash-covered alley and claim the Bolt Cutters. The Bolt Cutters in Resident Evil 3 Remake will be in the safe room ahead, on a cubby in the wall.
