How to get Psychogenic Intel in Destiny 2

How to get Parasite in Destiny 2

The launch of The Witch Queen campaign for Destiny 2 has a lot of players asking questions. With a new world to explore, there’s a lot to get done. And doing those tasks means you have a ton of new ranks to earn in the seasonal rewards track. Along with that, comes a suite of bonus rewards as well. And a lot of those hinge on a new seasonal currency.

Psychogenic Intel is the new seasonal currency that you will find in Destiny 2: Season of the Risen. Anytime you complete any playlist game mode such as Strikes or Gambit, you earn some of it. That’s in addition to the other rewards you get from these matches. That’s pretty easy, but it’s not the only way you can get your hands on it.

How to get Psychogenic Intel in Destiny 2

As mentioned above, you can get the Intel from a few different seasonal sources. The new PsiOps battlegrounds, as well as the new campaign, are both possible drops. And yes, that’s in addition to the playlist game modes that are normally part of Destiny 2, Additionally, since Season of the Risen is so intertwined with the story from The Witch Queen, players will also get Psychogenic Intel from finishing The Witch Queen campaign missions. So get out there and explore on the Throne World. Any public missions you complete while on the Throne World will also drop this currency.

The one downside is that there remains a pretty heavy restriction on the Psychogenic Intel in Destiny 2, mostly in how you can spend it.

However, you can hold only 2000 Psychogenic Intel at any given time. That means you need to pick and choose when and where you want to spend this new currency. The most common use right now is using it to decode Runic Chests in PsiOps Battlegrounds. These Runic Chests give out Risen Umbral Energy. This makes that the most common way to get Risen Umbral Energy in the game, and that’s something you want to do. Popping these chests is great for getting Seasonal items and other rewards that can only gained during Season of the Risen.
