Enneracts in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem are the resource you use in the game to gain new skills. There’s no class system in this ARPG, so building characters is a lot more free-form than other titles in the genre. So if you want to get stronger, you need to keep a pretty big stock of Enneracts in constant supply.
To get Enneracts, just keep killing enemies and smashing loot chests. Any item or enemy that can drop an item has a small chance to drop any number of Enneracts in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem. The process by which you upgrade your character involves collecting these items, activating them for Primordial Affinity, which can then be used to unlock new skills. These skills will also level up as you use them in combat, making your build stronger.
Each skill you unlock has a different modifier, allowing players to craft some pretty unique builds in the game. Press S on your keyboard at any time to open the Skills menu and see which skills you have allocated, as well as their effects. Enneracts can also have a modifier that means certain weapon skills and specific modifiers are unique to that Enneract. All Enneracts will tell you which types of weapons they need in order to be used. Some are melee only, while others require bows or pistols It’s a good idea to sell the ones that don’t fit with your build instead of holding them in your inventory.
If you’re having trouble getting some Enneracts, they can also be bought. The NPC Demetra will also sell you different Enneracts. This is also the same NPC you use to spend your points or Primordial Affinity. Her stocks shift over time, and Demetra won’t always have Enneracts in stock, so check back after each mission run. It’s also a good idea to do some farming runs before doing the next mission if she has some in stock and you need them. Sometimes her stock can disappear and you don’t want to lose out on a few free skill points. Also, since Enneracts can drop from any enemy, the farming could yield extra points as well.
Activating Enneracts in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, and gaining the skill points, is as simple as right-clicking the Enneracts you have in your inventory.
