There are a bunch of different useful items and resources in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. As you journey around you will notice that there are also a bunch of hidden secrets and puzzles to solve. Knowing where to find these secrets and how to get them is key to getting all of the character upgrades in the game. One such upgrade is Cat’s Footfall in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, which will allow you to progress the story and unlock further upgrades.
As you get through the story eventually you will visit Asgard. There you will be given a variety of quests to undertake for a very interesting cast of characters. One of these mythical figures is Ivaldi the dwarf. Eivor asks Ivaldi to make an unbreakable chain for their own use. Players will be given the task to find Cat’s Footfall in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla so that the smith can make the item.
To find Cat’s Footfall, you need to go back to the entrance of that giant palace. The marker is leading you there from the quest, though it will disappear when you get close. Use your raven sight ability to highlight the area and look for a pillar with a golden cat statue on top of it. You need to climb up on top of that. Once there, you will have to keep following it around from place to place, as the cat statue will disappear each time. It’s a little like the Shanties from AC IV. After a few repetitions of this, you will have led the Cat’s Footfall to a dead end. There is a leap of faith nearby, use that to get down.
Jump into the haystack and the Cat’s Footfall will automatically appear in your inventory. Now that this is done, move on with the story as the quest directs you.
