How to get and use Infested Catalysts in Warframe

Infested Catalysts in Warframe are some new items added for the Operation: Plague Star event. This new item is integral to parts of the new content, and you need a bunch of them to complete the quest. The function of the item is to spawn one Infest Hemocyte per use. Once Infest Hemocyte will spawn each time your trigger the catalyst.

For starters, let’s talk about how to actually make the Infested Catalysts. The first thing you need to do is find the blueprint. You need to use the  Bio Lab in the Clan Dojo to create the blueprint. You will have to then buy the finished blueprint for 5,000 Credits. Each time you build the blueprint, you can get five of the Catalysts.

How to use the Infested Catalysts

Once the Catalysts is complete, players will need to place it in their Gear Wheel, like any other usable non-combat item. Over the course of the Plaguestar missions, you will see on-screen prompts to use the infested catalysts. During one portion, the phase where you need to mix the Toxin, will use four of the catalysts. During this part, walk over to the mixer and select the Catalyst four times to complete this step.

If you use one Catalyst, you gain 250 Standing for taking down the Hemocyte. Four being used at once can earn a bonus of 2,000 Standing, for a total of 3,000 Standing added to your faction. It’s a good way to turn some basic spare resources into Standing if you don’t mind the work.
