How to get and craft the wave breaker in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

With the new Earth Day update in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has added a bunch of new events, some new NPCs, and a handful of new decorative items. The new items are all themed around the environment, given that Nature Day is based around the real-world Earth Day. The various items that can be used to decorate your islands are based on this theme. So if you want a more nautical theme for your beaches and houses, the wave breaker in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is an item that can help with that.

The first thing you need to do is focus on the grind of getting your island’s infrastructure built up. Having Resident Services upgraded is a necessity here. You will begin to accrue Nook Miles and spend them at the terminal for different rewards like clothing and furniture. Having so many DIY Recipes and new items to unlock takes a lot of work, and the randomness doesn’t make the process of unlocking the wave breaker in Animal Crossing: New Horizons any easier.

Once you have it though, it’s time to get crafting. The wave breaker in Animal Crossing: New Horizons costs 1500 Nook Miles to buy from the Terminal by the way. Once you have it, you need to 10 each of Stone and Clay to make the decorative item. The item can be sold for 3,000 Bells, so there might be some potential for making cash here.

The 2×2 item takes up a smaller space than you would expect, but it can be useful if you’re trying to theme your islands. Some players are reporting that it might be useful for making mazes for catching some animals, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet. Though they aren’t as useful as the real-life Tetrapods they’re based on, at least they look cool.
