The Summer Shell DIY recipes are the latest additions to the sprawling recipe roster in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The new items coming in with this update announce the beginning of Summer. Nintendo has put the new Summer Shells in Animal Crossing: New Horizons to give players a new set of thematic items to craft. So how do you actually unlock these new recipes?
The Summer Shells themselves can be found on the beaches in your islands. The summer season will arrive in the game for those in the northern hemisphere starting on June 1, and those in the southern hemisphere get the content on December 1. Now as for the recipes, the first one is unlocked when Isabelle announces the new content. Isabelle will give you that recipe, the Shell wreath, during the morning announcements.
