How to get a Donation Box in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

How to save your game in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Animal Crossing: New Horizons brought out the big guns in its final update. The massive 2.0.0 patch added so much to the game, it’s too big to go over it all. With the addition of the new content in the patch, there’s a lot to handle. With all the new NPCs running around, trying to build houses for them is a lot to deal with. Having to also manage all the new crafting and cooking options can be a handful too.

Along with the new Pro Construction permit, there’s a lot more stuff to build as well. With all those new bridges and inclines, you’re going to need Bells to fund them. That’s where the Donation Box in Animal Crossing: New Horizons comes in.

What Does a Donation Box do?

The basic building system for houses, bridges and inclines requires Bells. You can either pay the costs yourself, or wait for donations from villagers. But that latter option takes a very long time. You could be waiting weeks for a single bridge to get funded. The Donation box helps with that.

Now that the box is built, place it on your island where guests can get to it. This will allow guests and villagers to donate to your bank balance. You can then use the Bells as you see fit. If you need that new bridge built, this is an easy way to speed up the process.

Any visitor to your island can deposit up to 1,000 Bells into the box. You can then withdraw them at any time.
