ACNH is getting into the swing of things with a new Summer update. And in that new Summer update, there’s tons of stuff to do. The patch is adding diving and swimming, but that’s not all. Along with all the new stuff, there’s also a large population of deep-sea creatures coming to your island as well. And when you’re out hunting sea creatures, try stopping by with Pascal and see if you can get any of the Mermaid DIY Recipes from them.
And as with all new content updates, there’s a new island NPC to have fun with. Pascal in Animal Crossing New Horizons is the source for much of the new content. This friendly and easygoing otter will swim around the island while you’re out diving, handing out rewards when you find something rare. He often will swim up to you and ask to keep an item or creature you just found, if you accept, he will often leave a prize behind in trade. Here’s how to find Pascal in Animal Crossing New Horizons.
Get your snorkel and wetsuit on, then head out into the deep water. When you find a shadow underwater and dive after it, Pascal shows up depending on what you found. If you find a Scallop, he will swim along and talk to you. He shows up once a day, so you have to get kind of lucky. But if you want those new DIY recipes, here’s how to get them. And don’t worry f you screw up and decline his offer, he will show up again if you find another Scallop in the same in-game day.
Pascal is also a good source of Pearls in ACNH, although you will need to do plenty of diving to get them.
