The new content dropped for ACNH has a ton of fun stuff packed in. There’s the new resort island content, where you can bring new visitors to a special vacation spot. There’s so much more than lounging on the beach though it’s tons of fun. The addition of the 2.0.0 Update for Animal Crossing New Horizons has given you the ability to cook meals like carrot cake, curry and more. That’s just the beginning as well.
When you want to get flowers, bushes and more to decorate your island with, you have to buy them. Breeding flowers is another method to get some plants, but not all of them are available via this approach. Players have to buy most of the other stuff for Bells most of the time. Leif in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a great helper for planning gardens and other plant-based decorations for your island.
Leif is available from the start of the game, but it’s kind of hard to find them, as they spawn randomly on your plaza. But with the new update, there’s a much more consistent way to find them. You can get them to spawn on Harv’s Co-Op.
How to unlock Leif on Harv’s island
Harv’s Co-op is the big new addition for those wishing to customize their island in this version of ACNH. The 2.0 update has basically brought all the NPCs and vendors into one space.
Once you have at least three residents on your main island, you can get the various NPCs to start appearing there. Go the island and speak to Harv about setting up stalls. Once you see Leif there, donate 100,000 Bells to them to get them set up a stall. Once there, they will sell various plant and crop starts from there. You no longer have to worry about them spawning on a schedule on your island.
Leif will also sell you crops you can grow. These can then be used in various recipes. Here are the types of crops you can grow in the game:
- Carrot start
- Seed potato
- Sugarcane start
- Tomato start
- Wheat start
Once Leif shows up, you can begin to buy stuff from them.
