You can only get access to the feature after collecting 50 of the hidden Cat Shrines, as well as completing the main quest. That’s going to take some investment and time if you really want to get into it. You will need to manually play the game through this time, not being able to jump between worlds and the like using fast travel.
Being so limited to completion in most of the game is kind of sucky. You will need to get through the game and do it quickly if you really want to get 100% completion. It’s not an easy task, but there are only so many hours in the day. The journey won’t be easy, but it can be tons of fun.
