How to farm Personal Touch in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 - Dawning 2021

The Dawning is back in Destiny 2, which means it is time to bury every NPC in the game under a candy mountain. And you don’t have a magical unicorn to help you out. The Dawning 2021 recipes are very similar to previous runs of the event. Each of the Dawning 2021 recipes must be taken to the correct NPC to complete the quest. The process involves taking down a specific enemy type, or taking them out with a certain weapon. Personal Touch is built around using Melee kills, so you need to be careful.

How to farm Personal Touch in Destiny 2

Personal Touch is an ingredient that only drops when you defeat an enemy by using a Melee attack.  You don’t need to focus on killing any specific enemy, you just need to smack them at the right time. This sounds simple, but timing is everything. The activity choice isn’t too important. The best way to farm it is with the right weapon choice.

You want to use a powerful weapon combo that won’t kill the enemy outright. You want to use a pretty powerful weapon that will wipe away a fair amount of their health in one shot. Then you just rush in and finish them off. Make sure to run back before other foes get too close, as they could overwhelm you. A shotgun or powerful Pulse Rifle is good for this. You can also rely on explosive weapons and splash damage if you plan to farm for other ingredients. Once you start reliably killing with melee hits, it’s time to get your hands on that Personal Touch and finish things up.

You need Personal Touch for two recipes this year. The Eliksni Birdseed uses Personal Touch and Ether Cane. You need to bake that and then take it to Hawthorne. You can find them in the Tower, right by Ikora. The other recipe is for Lavander Ribbon Cookies. You must combine 15x Essence of Dawning, 1x Personal Touch, and 1x Vex Milk to get this one. Take the finished baked goods to Saint-14. You can find him in the Tower.
