How to farm Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2

Vault of Glass

During the Season of Arrivals, fans will undertake a lot of tasks in Destiny 2. To complete one particular task, the Bank Heist, will actually take some work. Players will have to try getting Witherhoard catalysts for the Season of Arrivals. To do that, you need plenty of Filthy Lucre. You need a total of 300 of this resource to get through the questline.

And all of this doesn’t even touch on the other parts of this event. To complete the whole storyline around the Bank Heist, you also need to get 200 Grenade Launcher Multikills and 100 Grenade Launcher Guardian Eliminations. So be prepared to put a lot of work in.

The only way to obtain Filthy Lucre is to complete Nightfalls, Crucible, or Gambit matches. This is pretty grindy, but it’s the only way. You don’t have to win the matches in question, just complete them. To maximize the amount of Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2 you can farm, you will need to do that a lot. You can get 300 Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2. This means you can play through 300 Gambit, Crucible, or Nightfalls during the course of this season.

There is one way to speed up the process though. A special item called the Catalyst Enhancement is what you need. The Catalyst Enhancement doubles objective progression during certain questlines and seasonal events, and this farming will be one of them.

When you start moving up the ranks of the Season of Arrivals pass, you will be earning plenty of rewards. There are some rewards to pay attention to when it comes to farming Filthy Lucre in Destiny 2. At levels 11 and 22, everyone can get a Catalyst Enhancement. So that means by hitting level 22 you will get two of these in all.

Activating the Catalyst Enhancement will give you a big bonus to completing the Catalyst quest. At level 22 you should be earning triple the rewards compared to the start. This will make that grind of moving through matches in various playlists much quicker.

The one downside to this approach is that the two items are locked behind a paywall. You have to buy into the Season of Arrivals Season Pass to access these rewards. In addition to the leveling up you have to do, this may not be for everyone.
