There are a great many items spread throughout the wastes of Fallout 76. As players explore, they will uncover all kinds of unique and powerful items. And with it being a very crafting-focused video game, there’s a lot of junk that can be turned into more useful stuff.
One of the more useful items, which might not seem like it, is adhesive. Adhesive has a wide range of applications in Fallout 76. Players will need adhesive to create explosives, weapon modifications, and a ton of other useful items.
How to farm adhesive in Fallout 76
The most common way to get some is to kill the right mobs. There are four different ways to acquire adhesive. The first is by killing and looting Gulpers and Honey Beasts. Gulpers can commonly be found at Gulper Lagoon, as the name suggests. Honey Beasts are a bit tougher to find. Honey Beasts roam the Toxic Valley, Mire, and sometimes the Forest in Appalachia.
There’s another way, using your C.A.M.P. if you have it sufficiently set up. You can also make the adhesive in Fallout 76 from a recipe, provided you have the right items. Here is the recipe to make more of it. Gather the following items and take them to a cooking station to render it out into adhesive:
- Mulfruit x2
- Corn x2
- Tato x2
- Purified Water x1
To really get the adhesive production going, consider setting up a starch farm. You can use Vegetable Starch to get an endless amount, so take advantage of that. It can be time consuming to setup as you need a good farming plot and an assembled cook stove, but it’s well-worth the effort. All that is needed for a starch farm is a water source and the above items to re-plant. Photosynthesis will occur if plants have dirt, water, and sunlight. Using fertilizer will help, but it is not necessary for new players.
When you’re out hunting for junk, you can also break down a bunch of these to get more adhesive and other materials. There are a ton of junk items that you will find throughout the world of Fallout 76 that contain this stuff.
