How to Exercise in Project Zomboid

How to heal a Deep Wound in Project Zomboid

Project Zomboid’s early access has added a bunch of new stuff over the years. There are many little things you need to do to survive in Project Zomboid. There are many skills to level, and gear to find; there are tons to build as well. Players can learn to build bases with carpentry, or to make complex electronics. But as you play all over the world of Knox County, you will get into some dangerous situations.

The recent release of Build 41 has been a pretty big change for the game. You can read the official blog post for this update here. The update added a bunch of new systems and other content to PZ. One of many new additions is exercise in Project Zomboid. This system can help you lose weight and get yourself back in shape.

How to Exercise in Project Zomboid

To exercise, you need to open the Health menu on the left, that’s the big heart-shaped button. Clicking the Health tab on the Health screen will bring up the Fitness menu. From there, you can easily check the physical status of your character. By clicking the fitness button, you can choose the exercise you want to do. There are many different types of exercise in Project Zomboid you can perform.

  • Barbell curls
  • Bicep curls
  • Burpees
  • Dumbbell presses
  • Push-ups
  • Sit-ups
  • Squats

You then need to pick the activity you want to do, and how long you want to do it for. Be sure to read the in-game descriptions of each activity to choose better. There are two main impacts of each exercise. You will feel more clumsy using certain ones, like push-ups, but you get better Fitness from the best ones. Squats are probably the best overall exercise.

As with all of the other exercises available, the more often you do the exercise, the better the experience gains.  So you will eventually hit a plateau in the game in terms of how much exercise you can get. Most of these exercises will result in some level of tiredness, so you need to be careful just exercising out in the wild. It could be a big problem if you’re worn out and trying to run away from a horde.

There are plenty of other things to learn about the game as well. Before you go out on that supply run, make sure you’re well prepared for what’s to come. Basic tasks like boiling water are key to survival. You must know how to build defenses too. Cleaning up after yourself after all the zombie-slaying is a good idea. You don’t want a bunch of blood hanging around. Burning corpses is also a great thing to do.
