Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have blasted their way onto the Switch this month, bringing the DS classics to a new era. Players who didn’t get to enjoy Platinum or the earlier games in that Gen are in for a treat. With nearly 500 Pokémon to find, it’s a dream for older fans. The game has a lot going on. And that means you need to learn a bit if you really want to master it. With all the monsters to capture and battles to fight, there’s a lot of fun to be had.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl may be a great trip for nostalgia, but what if you want some challenge? What if you already beat the game and want to start over? There’s a way to do that. The Switch console makes it very easy to manage game and save data. Since the games are on the Switch, the process to delete save data in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is the same for any game.
Here’s what to do when you want to delete Switch save data:
- Go to System Settings from the Home screen.
- Select the option for Data Management.
- Choose either Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl, depending on the version you have,
- Select Delete Save Data with the game selected.
- Select which user you wish to delete data from, making sure to delete the right one.
- Confirm your choice and let the Switch wipe the save.
There’s a lot to learn about this game. You might want to learn a bit about Affection bonuses. If you want more encoutners, try finding some Honey Trees. There have also been some new additions to character customization that you need to know about.
You should also stop over and grab the Explorer’s Kit as well. Now that you have unlocked more of the game go out and have fun. And if you want to trade and battle, you can do that too. You don’t need the NSO Expansion Pack to access online in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
