How To Deal With Sun Damage In V Rising

V Rising Guides

V Rising is a new vampiric action game from Stunlock Studios. By blending crafting and adventure together with a robust combat system, they’ve created something quite special. And by infusing it with bloody good fun, the Early Access version has already found a ton of immediate popularity and success. It’s almost like there’s a magical force compelling players to adventure in these dark and bloody lands, but really, it’s just cause the game is cool.

Be sure to check out our other guides on scrolls, and other materials like fish oil. Other upgrades like Whetstones are pretty useful as well. Other aspects of the game can help with your journey, like farming in V Rising and growing stuff from seeds. Seeds harvested from bosses can be used to grow unique items for crating intriguing new armor. Some of the best armor in the game is the Dark Silver gear, which is super powerful. And since you’re trying to get more powerful gear, leather can be helpful as well.

As a vampire trying to survive and thrive, you can’t let yourself be caught out in the sun. You will die very quickly if you’re not careful. Use the tips in this guide to minimize the amount of Sun Damage In V Rising you take as you play.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Sun Damage has a stacking effect the longer it ticks. You can get a few seconds of exposure without too much damage, but prolonged exposure more than that can kill any vamp very fast. You start taking around 10 points of damage per second, and it ticks up from there. Here are the ways to prevent your exposure to the sun and avoid getting damage while indoors or outdoors.

Ways to reduce Sun Damage In V Rising

The early parts of the game should be played very cautiously. When you don’t have the resources to build a large base, you have to be careful when you venture out. The light is extremely deadly, and you need to try and only venture out during the night at first. You can stick to the trees to mitigate some sun damage, but not always. Gaps in the trees can kill you, so move fast.

You won’t have access to as many building and crafting options, so you’re quite weak. You will have access to the Mist Brazier. This item burns Bones at a rate of one bone per real minute. This means that for as long as it has fuel, the Mist Brazier protects a small area from sun entirely. This protected area is very shaded, so it’s pretty easy to spot.

If you’ve taken a hit due to the sun’s rays, you can heal yourself by using Blood Mend. Players can access it by pressing the Control key. This will refill your health bar and heal you a bit, but it will consume Blood each tick. Blood Mend will reduce your Blood Pool level, so be sure to have hearts at the ready to refill when you can.

Eating Rats and other weaker foes can help refill your blood as well. You can also drink the blood from friends playing with you on the same server.

If you want to cheat your way to success, V Rising Console Commands can help here as well. Using the give command, you can simply spawn stacks of any item into your inventory. There’s no god mode command though, so you can’t make yourself immune to Sun Damage.
