There’s also some old mechanics making a comeback. Epic has also introduced many different challenges as tie-ins for various properties. The Gears of War challenge is one of these. To unlock the special skins in this week, you need to finish off some specific challenges.

To crouch behind a barrier in Fortnite Chapter 3’s Gears Of War Challenge, you first need to find one of the five barriers marked with the Gears Of War COG logo. The logo found is spray painted red, so it’s pretty easy to spot on the concrete barriers. These locations will be pretty hot with all the various challenges going one. Come loaded down with plenty of weapons and ammo. Shoot first, and ask questions later.

- Sleepy Sound
In order to complete the quest, it’s not enough to be close to the barrier in a crouching position. The challenge only completes if you get right up against the barrier and then press crouch. If you’re not getting credit for it, make sure to get right up against it and try again. So you can’t just sneak up and crouch behind a barrier in Fortnite Chapter 3, you need to be standing, then crouch next to it.
