How to Complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife

How to complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife

For a mobile life sim, the complexity and variety of CandyWriter’s BitLife is always more surprising. A big part of that is the weekly challenges that the developer drops each week. These are often used to introduce players to new features, or maybe to just have a bit of fun. They’re also used to bring in tie-ins with popular fiction properties as well, as was the case with the Dark Knight challenge.

This week, we get to live out the Jazz age of Long Island, New York. That’s because we’re getting a challenge named after the 1925 novel by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. Here’s how to Complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife.

How to complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife

  • Live in New York
  • Be a famous author
  • Have 20+ friends
  • Throw 10+ parties in your mansion
  • Become addicted to alcohol

Step one is pretty simple, you just need to create a character in the mobile game and choose New York as your birthplace. You can also move there later in life if you wish to work on other things before completing the challenge. Once you’ve done that it’s time to focus on being an author. This is the most arduous part, as it takes a fair amount of luck and stat prep to get the right job.

Becoming a famous writer is a matter of getting into Grad School and getting a solid English degree. That means having a ton of Smart stats, which in itself means that you need to read lots of books and keep visiting the library. You need to get through High School, then College, and finally Graduate School, with high stats in all three. Eventually, you will be able to apply for the Writer job you’re after. Once that’s done, you’re on your way to becoming a famous writer. Just keep working at it and eventually, the Famous tag will trigger and you can move on to the next phase of the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife.

Getting Freinds and Throwing Parties

This is the easiest part, as it’s just a matter of repeating the same steps. Once you age up after getting the famous writer part done, you need to focus on getting your social life in order. Having 20 or more friends is pretty simple, as you just want to look out for invitations to hang out with someone. Every so often, someone will invite you over, be sure to accept them. Do this enough while focusing on the writing portion and you should have way more than 20 friends in the Relationships tab in no time. If you’re having trouble, don’t be afraid to ask people to hang out wiht you either.

As you’re now a well-connected and famous writer, it’s time to move on and get that lavish mansion. Open the Assets section, and go to Shopping, and then Real Estate. There you will find an option for a Mansion. If you don’t see it, age and try again. If you don’t have enough cash, just keep working until you can afford it. Be sure to keep up with your friends during this time as well.

Throwing a party once you have a nice stable of pals is pretty easy. You need to throw 10 different parties, so get on that. Go into the same Assets section and select that mansion you just bought, there should be an option to throw a party. Make some money and wait a bit and then do it again. Throw 10 of these ragers and you’re done except for that last part.

The final step in the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife is to get addicted to alcohol. You can do this the quickest by going into the Activities tab and choosing the option to go clubbing. Do that enough and you should get pop-up about being offered alcohol, always take the drinks. in no time, you’re going to be that barely functioning mess that you want to be, OK, maybe not.

There! You’re done and have completed the weekly challenge this time around. Enjoy that digital wealth and fame.
