The Fateful Spin in Destiny 2 is a newly set Triumph that players must complete to earn certain rewards. During the time the rotation is active, players must complete specific milestones to earn the reward. In this case a new Emote is up for grabs. Bungie loves using these quest-based objectives for luring players into certain activities. And while you’re out doing Dares of Eternity of the Dawning 2021 stuff, try to get this Triumph done as well.
How to complete Fateful Spin in Destiny 2
The Dares event has a lot of moving parts to it. Each run is different. The runs are meant to be based around certain modifiers that you roll on the Wheel of Adversity. You’ll spin the Wheel of Adversity twice during any given Dares run; once in the Valley, once in the Vault. Right now, there’s no way to fix which mods you get per run, so you just have to deal with it, if you get a bad result.
You must complete Dares of Eternity on Legend difficulty and do each of the tasks below:
- Defuse mines – Fallen Mines must be diffused
- Shatter crystals – Shatter crystals linked to Hive enemies
- Defeat Minotaurs – Beat the Vex Minotaur mini-bosses.
- Defeat Commanders – Beat the Cabal Commanders mini-bosses.
- Destroy the Blight
For doing all of this, you get the Joyful Burst Exotic Emote. This was introduced in Season 15, and is something players really seem to want. The Joyful Burst is pretty cool, but it’s just the first part of the ongoing Vidmaster challenges.
Here are the other milestones you need to complete:
- Let’s See What You’ll Be Taking Home – Spend keys in Xur’s Treasure Room on Eternity.
- Repeat Winner – Defeat final bosses in Dares of Eternity.
- Special Guest Star – Defeat Xur’s Chosen in the Lightning Round.
- Old Friends, Old Couch – Complete Dares of Eternity on Legend difficulty with a fireteam of two to four Guardians.
- Daring Displays – Complete Starhorse bounties. Weekly and Legend-difficulty Starhorse bounties grant additional progress.
- Paraversal Prize – Earn the exotic Sidearm, Forerunner.
- And Out Fly the Wolves – Earn the exotic Rocket Launcher Gjallarhorn.
