An Unusual Spot in New Pokémon Snap is one of the many Lentalk Requests in the game. The Requests often involve a bunch of trekking around the various maps in the game to find Pokémon in various positions. The goal is to bring back a photo to the quest giver that contains the required Pokémon in the right state. Some of these are a bit more involved than others. Some Pokémon in strange places are your targets this time. You’re supposed to take photos of Ledian doing something strange, and there’s an easy way to complete this one. You need to get them into the right spot to take the required photo. Here’s how to complete An Unusual Spot in New Pokémon Snap.
How to complete At Home in the Dark request in New Pokémon Snap
- Head into Founja Jungle (Night) at Research Level 2.
- Look near the start of the zone for Ledian sleeping in the trees around you.
- Head through the map until just before you reach the ruins.
- Throw an Illumina Orb at the Crystabloom right next to the ruins.
- Wait for the three Ledians to show up, and toss fruit at the third one that lands.
The quickest way to get this done is to wait until about halfway through the course until you get halfway through the course when you travel over the horizontal branches. You will see the waterfall ahead and you know you’re in the right place. Look down for a Crystabloom directly below you, next to the ruins.
You will see three flying Ledians come up after you toss the Orb. Two will remain flying, while a third will land nearby and wander around. You can technically get a photo of that third one by tossing some fruit. If you want to rush An Unusual Spot in New Pokémon Snap, just take a photo of the Ledian you threw a Fluffruit at. You won’t get very many points for it. It’s hard to get the shot of the Ledian eating as the foliage can block your view, but it’s much faster than the intended method.
The correct way to do this involves going down a different path. When you arrive at the first fork in the path, take the right path and avoid the swamp. You will need to be on the lookout for some sleeping Liepard in the tall grass right ahead. You will want to look for the Liepard sleeping above you on a ridge. Hit this Liepard with an Illumina Orb to get the first part of the setup done. When you get further into the course, look in the tree branches for another Liepard up high in the trees. You need to also hit this second mon with an Illumina Orb to get it to run into you. Doing so will cause you to crash into the ruins where you will find the Ledian.
Now just light up the Crystabloom as in the first method and take the picture. Just snap the pic when the Ledian starts to eat. Once you have the proper photo, you can return to Professor Mirror and turn in your prize for a nice chunk of XP. There, you have now completed An Unusual Spot in New Pokémon Snap.
