Of all the other stuff added during Unova Week in Pokémon Go, there are some special new spawns to hunt as well. With dozens of new spawns and some new roster additions, there’s plenty to hunt. Although with some of these roster changes, one is a bit weird. There is one new addition that’s restricted to a certain region. Bouffalant during Unova Week in Pokémon Go is locked to regional Egg spawns around New York City, USA.
But the thing is, you won’t find Bouffalant as a wild or Raid spawn. You can only spawn Bouffalant via 5 KM Eggs earned from spinning Poké Stop and Gym photo discs, and the egg only pops up if you have a free egg slot in your inventory. So start checking Stops and Gyms in your area fror the Eggs if you want this unique spawn.
It’s strange to see Niantic lock this spawn behind a regional exclusive, especially considering the way that the Unova Week, otherwise known as Dragon Week, was unlocked. Players took part in the massive Pokémon Go Fest 2020 research events to unlock each week, so you would think that the devs would want to share these unique rewards with everyone.
Bouffalant is a Normal-type with a maximum CP of 2,797, an attack of 195, a defense of 182, and a stamina of 216. It’s weak to Fighting-type attacks, but it is resistant to Ghost-type moves. If you capture one, its best moveset includes Zen Headbutt and Skull Bash. While these aren’t OP moves, they are good for some lower levels of Trainer battles and raiding.
