Spiritcaller Snail is found in Road’s End Catacombs and then again at the Spiritcaller’s Cave. This is an optional boss, as players don’t need to defeat it in order to advance in Elden Ring. You can take it on at any time, provided you can reach the area that it spawns in. The cave you’re after is located within Liurnia of the Lakes, so you need to be able to reach that zone first. Once there, head to the southern end of the zone. You will find the boss entrance north of the Ringleader’s Evergaol.

But beating it won’t be easy, you need to bring along a few tricks and do some prep. Here is how you can beat the Spiritcaller Snail in Elden Ring. This is one of many optional bosses that drops a unique item when you beat it the first time. Drops the Glintstone Sorcerer Ashes upon defeat.

Finding it is one thing, you also need to actually best in combat. The boss isn’t too strong, but it can summon adds and has a somewhat complicated sequence.

The biggest threat here is the Crucible Knight that’s summoned as part of the fight. These incredibly powerful mini-bosses can hit hard and have a lot of health to chew through. One easier aspect is that it can be poise broken and staggered with ease, but can’t be riposted. Each time you manage to kill one of the summoned knights, another will come in to take its place. Don’t let the fight run on too long, or another Knight can be added to the fight. Keep taking them out to deal more damage to the boss, but this isn’t the only way. When the Spiritcaller Snail in Elden Ring appears in the arena, you can also attack it directly.

The key to this fight is to move fast and use the terrain to your advantage. Bring a spirit to distract the Knight, then hunt for the boss. The boss will be invisible throughout the fight but can first be found in the back right corner of the arena. Once you strike the boss a few times, it will teleport to another spot within the arena. It will usually stick to the sides of the arena, so run along the wall looking for it.

The boss will drop the aforementioned Sorcery, as well as 3,000 Runes on death. If you’re playing on NG+, the boss will drop 12,000 Runes, but have a much higher health pool.
