How to add friends in Halo Infinite

disable crossplay in Halo Infinite

The new FPS titan on the block, Halo Infinite, has drawn a lot of new and old players in. There’s a lot to learn about this game. And don’t feel bad if you’re a new player, there’s a lot to learn. Be warned though, sometimes people can be mean. If you don’t want to deal with toxic players, try muting them. But if you want to get your game on with friends, you can do that too.  Here’s what you need to know about adding friends that you want to play with in Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite does feature full crossplay support, so that console and PC gamers can play together. This means that your in-game friends can be on both platforms as well. You don’t even have to track friends across different apps or anything, the game handles it all. When you want to add folks to that list, it’s very easy.

When you want to add friends in Halo Infinite on console, there’s a menu for that. Just press the Xbox button and open the People tab, then choose Find Someone, and enter their tag.  Go to the Friends tab to check out whose online in-game. You can also find an option in the menus to see who you recently played with. If you want to send a request to someone just click on their gamertag and send them a request. You can do this on both the PC and console versions.

If you have a friend’s gamertag already and wish to add them in the game. Open up the social tab on console and search for it. Once you find the right account, send them a request. On PC, you’ll need to open up the Social menu by pressing Tab on the main menu, and then click “Find Friends” at the bottom of this screen.

Given that it features heavily on Xbox, and Xbox account can be handy too. if you’re on console, you can link your Xbox and Discord account, and that will help you find friends to play with. Discord can show you when friends are online, and what they’re playing.

You might also have some other questions about the game. If you have gameplay questions, you might be new to CTF. That means it’s a good idea to learn the controls, like how to drop the flag. There’s some free cosmetic 20th anniversary content you can claim. You can also customize your Spartan in many ways, so try that out. If you’re the kind of person who only wants to play with console or PC players, you can also get around the crossplay.
