Halo Infinite has exploded onto the scene, and bringing with it hundreds of thousands of fans back into the genre. With that many players across PC and Xbox, there’s a lot of new people hopping into the fight. The game can be very chaotic, so having good situational awareness is important. Players need to know what’s going on around them at all times.

The first few games in the main series had a simple motion tracker to help with this. Later games in the franchise added equipment to further complicate matters. That later evolved into many different tools players can use to help them out in a fight. The threat sensor in Halo Infinite is one of these items.

How the threat sensor in Halo Infinite works

The threat sensor in Halo Infinite is a pretty basic tool, it helps you figure out where enemies are. When you equip this item, it will send out a pulse when activated. Throw it out like any other equipment to use it. When it triggers, it will send out a wave that lights up the nearby area, scanning for foes.

For about five seconds, the outline of enemies within range of the sensor can be seen. It’s a great way to find hidden foes, as the item will give you a rough location and elevation on your targets. This means that careful use of the item is important. Being able to spot enemies trying to sneak around is a great tool to have.

You might also have some other questions about the game. If you have gameplay questions, you might be new to CTF. That means it’s a good idea to learn the controls, like how to drop the flag.
